Dear parents/guardians

Carol Service
The school will host a short Christmas carol service on Thursday, December 15th at 7pm in the local church. The junior and senior infants will present a simple nativity play while the rest of the classes will provide the singing and musical entertainment on the night. 1st class to 6th class pupils are asked to wear their school uniforms and a santy hat if they have one. A warm welcome is extended to all to attend on the night.

Christmas gifts.
The staff at the school wishes to acknowledge the kindness and generosity shown to them, at Christmas time, by parents over the years. However the staff would like to convey the message that Christmas gifts for teachers and staff are not necessary and certainly not expected, especially in light of the present economic circumstances.

School Christmas Mass
A school Christmas mass will be celebrated in our local church on Tuesday December 20th at 9.30am. All are welcome to attend.
Also a reminder that pupils of the school will be attending 9.30am mass on this coming Thursday, December 8th, to mark the feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Weather conditions.
Please take extra care on these icy mornings. We will try and grit/salt where necessary, but please tell your children to be extra careful on the school paths.
In the event of extreme weather, you will be informed by Text a parent, whether the school will be closed. Unless you receive a text from Camolin National School the school will be open as usual.

Christmas Holidays.
The school will close for the Christmas holidays on Thursday December 22nd at 12noon.
The school will reopen in the New Year on Monday January 9th at 9am.

May we take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2012.

Le meas,
Elaine Bolger
